Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.  After the initial appointment to establish your pet, we can offer drop-off appointments for the busy pet owner.  We can schedule appointments until 6:30pm, and remain open until 7pm on Thursdays for prescription requests or technician appointments.  Also, we are open for appointments from 8:30am to 12pm on Saturdays.

Technician appointments are available for some procedures or medication administration, call for availability.  We currently do not offer boarding for dogs but will accept cat boarding for established clients throughout the year, please call to schedule your appointment.

Emergency & Urgent Care

Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open.  If you feel your pet is having an emergency please call us or come to the hospital immediately.  If possible, please call before coming so that our staff member can advise you on your particular emergency, and so that our staff can have the appropriate equipment prepped when you arrive.

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to see you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Vaccinations

We offer a variety of canine and feline vaccinations.  Rabies vaccines are required by law in the state of Florida for both cats and dogs.  It is our policy that all animals be current on their rabies vaccine.  To see all other vaccinations offered and what they protect against click here.

Microchips

Having a pet that is microchipped can help ease a pet parents' mind when the unthinkable happens and their pet is lost.  We currently offer microchips that allow the owner's information to be found via Google.  The Save this Life microchip has a one time registration fee for the life of a pet that is included in the price of the microchip.  Go to www.savethislife.com for more information.

Digital Radiography (X-rays)

In an effort to continue to offer you the best in veterinary care, we introduced digital radiography in 2015.  The digital radiography system offers a quicker experience for your pet and less exposure to harmful rays.  The fully digital system means that your pet's images will be uploaded and easily accessible to send for referral if required, and/or burned onto a flash drive for your personal records.

Surgical Procedures

Various surgical and dental procedures are performed at Timberview Pet Clinic by our skilled veterinarians.  To provide the best care for your pet while under anesthesia every pet has bloodwork performed before they are sedated.  On the day of the procedure they receive an injection for sedation and pain control, an I.V. catheter, I.V. Fluids during the procedure, their vitals are monitored and recorded throughout, a medication for pain control during the procedure and thermal support as needed.  Additional pain control medication is prescribed as needed.  More extensive procedures may be referred to a specialty clinic or may be performed by Dr. Isis Sanchez at Timberview Pet Clinic.

 Ultrasounds

We currently offer ultrasounds at Timberview Pet Clinic, they are performed by a mobile board certified radiographer, Dr. Kathleen Gelatt-Nicholson.  Dr. Gelatt performs abdominal ultrasounds, echocardiograms, bi-cavity ultrasounds and x-ray consultations.

Regenerative Medicine (Stem Cell Therapy)

We offer regenerative medicine primarily for osteoarthritis.  This is performed in the clinic, and is an out patient procedure.  The doctor will consult with you on your pet's symptoms and will devise a plan for your pet.  Please call for further details or to schedule a consultation.

Rehabilitation

When the doctors believe rehabilitation is the next step to get your pet back into their best health, we refer to a certified canine rehabilitation therapist, Lesley Robson, D.V.M., CCRT, or the University of Florida.
